Church Profile- High Detail

Worship Services:

Parkhills Baptist Church (PBC) has one worship service each Sunday following an hour of Connection Group Bible study. The service features blended music with orchestra and choir as well as a rich bible-based message. A Spanish translation and live-stream service in real time is available.

The Lord’s Supper is observed quarterly, with elements distributed by deacons, ministers, and pastors in a reverent manner. Believer’s Baptisms by immersion are performed during worship services. The Baptism team ensures a welcoming and memorable experience for participants and their families.

Connection Groups:

PBC offers Sunday morning Bible study for all ages. These groups foster relationships, support, and community while building spiritual maturity through deep biblical study. PBC has a growing Hispanic class that is taught in Spanish.

Student Ministry (6-12 Grade)

As sixth graders enter the student ministry, they are challenged to explore the Bible, connect with other students, grow in their walk with Jesus, and multiply by connecting with people to spread the Gospel. Multiple events are held throughout the year, including lock-ins, service events, evangelism activities, and camps. The student midweek service welcomes all 6th-12th graders on Wednesday nights for Elevate. This time is designed to challenge students to explore the Bible, connect with other students, and grow in their walk with Jesus.

Kids Ministry (Infants-5th Grade)

PBC kids’ ministry provides a fun and safe environment for children to learn about God and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Childcare is provided for children age four and under on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. Bible study groups for kids and Kids Worship (K-5th) are provided on Sunday mornings. On Wednesday evenings, Ignite (our Wednesday evening kids program) is offered for babies-5th Grade. Kids Night In and Parents’ Day Out are provided several times a year as a ministry to parents/guardians and kids. Each summer, 3rd through 5th graders get away for a few days to deepen their walk with God, develop a love for His Word, and form strong Christian friendships during summer preteen camp. VBS is held each summer to evangelize, disciple, and motivate kids using solid Bible truths, crafts, games, and large-group activities. Each year, themes are carefully selected to enhance the learning experience.

The School at Parkhills

The School at Parkhills is a ministry of Parkhills Baptist Church for children ages six months through fifth grade. Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, September through May. The program aims to allow children to grow and develop as Jesus did – “in wisdom and stature, in favor with God and man” (Luke 2:52).

Finances:

The church has an annual budget of $2,057,107 and undesignated offerings of $2,226,198 in 2024. Our members generously support the financial needs of the church through tithing. Parkhills Baptist Church views financial health as a result of faithful stewardship. The church has exceeded its budget for the last seven years and currently operates with a $2 million budget. It is debt-free, a result of wise planning and commitment to living within its means. The church has been planning a Worship Center renovation, fueled by over $1.5 million in current contributions. This plan has been paused until the arrival of the new Teaching Pastor who will work with the Renovation Committee to help shape this space to reflect the church’s mission, values, and the heart of its community.
