2 Timothy 2:22 “Flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.”
Our main purpose in everything we do is to direct students toward a personal relationship with Jesus. We strive to clearly distinguish the difference between the ideas of the world and God’s desire for the Christian life. We are a Christ-Centered, Gospel driven ministry. We proclaim Christ above all and believe His Gospel alone can change the heart of man. Our upper class-men are taught leadership skills and given important responsibilities in our ministry. We also have care groups that allow new students to immediately have a group to identify with. A true sense of community is what we strive to provide for all students. Come join us and experience how God is using our teenagers to shine the light of the Gospel in our city!
STUDENT MINISTRY CORE VALUES
Biblical Truth - "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV)
We want to dive into God's word and not only know it, but apply God's word to our day to day life.
Purposeful Community - "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." (Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV).
We believe that building relationships and encouraging one another is crucial. We know life is hard, so let's walk through it together.
Spiritual Growth - "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen." (2 Peter 3:18 ESV)
We intentionally pursue God and seek to grow in our relationship with Him through reading God's word, prayer, worship, fellowship, and serving.
Authentic Service - "But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:43-45 ESV)
We seek to serve not only God, but the people that are around us in our daily life. Serving is a lifestyle that Jesus exemplified. We are to serve just as He did.
Gospel Focus - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with yo always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20 ESV)
Jesus has give us our mission on earth, that is to share the gospel with the world. Our mission in the student ministry is to allow the gospel of Jesus to consume our lives so much that we cannot help but share it with those around us.
